| Act:1 Scene:3 | Flossie's Bedroom | |
|
It is a small boxroom, with a small bed.
Flossie has been washed clean white and fluffy and dressed in a pair of Baloo Higgins old pyjamas.
The pyjamas have happy hoppity bunny rabbits on them.
By an amazing coincidence, Flossie has the same inside leg measurement as Baloo,
but unfortunately all the other relevant measurements are too large for a young sheep.
Flossie, much surprised by the days events, and nervous of what the future may hold in store,
decides that a prayer before going to bed might be prudent.
The little sheep begins to kneel, but gets entangled with the pyjamas and falls over. Unfamiliar with the mechanics of oversized pyjamas, Flossie struggles for a while but, finally, regains composure and kneeling properly (for a sheep) with head bowed, recites a little prayer.

| Flossie: |
As I lay me down to sleep, I ask the Lord to bless this sheep. May I not end up as a course Served with taters and mint sauce. (Flossie pauses, remembering something worrying that Col Pickering said) ... or curry. Amen.

| Flossie is unsure what exactly to do with the bed, but it looks mostly inedible. It also looks soft. Flossie jumps up onto the bed and finds it surprisingly bouncy. Flossie bounces for a bit, bleating excitedly, but after a while realises how unlike a grassy field the bed is, and starts to feel homesick. As the scene closes, the young sheep settles down upon the bed having still failed to discover how the sheets work. It's been a busy day and sleep comes quickly. | ||
